Village de Montignac-Lascaux

Gateway to the Vézère, the town of Montignac-Lascaux is a must for visiting the Dordogne.
At the crossroads of 4 departmental roads, it has become a strategic anchor point for going for walks through the Périgord Noir.
The Vézère river divides the town in two: the right bank of Montignac has retained its medieval charm with narrow streets, houses on stilts, etc.
As for the left bank, you will discover a priory, converted quays and even a convent transformed into an exhibition hall. You will inevitably pass by to get your tickets for the famous Lascaux Cave, which is 2km further on, on the heights of the city.
Not far away, you can also visit the prehistoric site of Regourdou.
